More than 900 Texas educators gathered July 27-28, 2016, for the second annual Revolutionizing Learning Conference held by the Community Schools Transformation Alliance (CSTA), a regional consortia of school districts committed to school transformation started by Sunnyvale ISD Superintendent Doug Williams and Commerce ISD Superintendent Blake Cooper.
The conference featured dozens of sessions on topics including joy in the classroom, “leadership soft skills for success,” robotics, coding, gaming, creativity, interactive lessons and notebooking, and much more. In addition, 20-to-30-minute special interest group sessions connected educators who teach the same grade level or subject in different districts.
Districts that are part of CSTA include: Sunnyvale, Commerce, Kaufman, Wills Point, Blue Ridge, Caddo Mills, Collinsville, Celeste, Wolfe City, Community, Royse City, Bells, Rains, Howe, and Edgewood ISDs.
